So, I'm starting a blog challenge like every other blogger out there in cyberspace. Only difference is, this one's going to be legit.
Why 72 days? Because there are 72 days left in the semester, therefore 72 days until SUMMER! This summer is going to be flat-out amazing. I have plans to meet some of the most awesome people ever, go to places I have always wanted to go, and have epic experiences. It's not that I don't enjoy school, because I do. But this is a countdown to the most fantasmagical summer everrr.
I'll reveal most of the elements of this challenge when I start it (today, right after I post this), but I want to expound upon one thing.
Every day I will post a picture, along with a story caption underneath it. I'm kinda stealing this idea from Stephen Palmer, and incredible writer (one of the best I have seen...and met!). As writing exercises, he takes an old photo and writes a story or caption for it -- but he only allows himself 20 minutes. The time limit forces his brain to be spontaneous, therefore exercising the spontaneous persona inside of him (I'll get into personas in more depth some other time).
I love to write. I really do. Ask anyone I know. Problem is, I feel I don't write enough. I'm not consistent. Adding this to the challenge will help me become consistent and help me expound on each aspect of my writing style, and build upon the strengths I already have.
Enjoy!
