Now that I have some time on my hands, things are happening and life-priorities are falling into place. Here's the gist:
1. Adventure--she comes. I'll leave it at that.
2. My mother and I have adopted vegan-like eating habits. Heaven help us. I'm kind of terrible at this, and I'm honestly more tired of the misconceptions going around about this "diet" than I am tired of the blended spinach. But I feel awesome. So what.
3. Inspiration can be found in so many places, namely here, here (please don't judge), and here.
4. I have been learning the art of re-evaluation and commitment. Can these things ever be mastered?
To expound-
Yesterday was an interesting day. Some may call it a waste of time, but I spent most of my day reading blog posts, articles and essays from successful, motivating people, some of which I know personally. By 6:00 I was totally ready to crack down and figure out what I've been doing right in my life, and, more importantly, determine what I can improve on and make a plan to really improve. I'm so grateful for that motivation and for the time I had to sit and reflect on the past few months; I genuinely feel I've had a fresh start.
Long story short, I'm meditating on a regular basis, de-cluttering my entire living area (including my desktop, which is quite a daunting task, mind you. It's mind-blowing, what one semester of online high school can do to files and folders), and re-starting with a clean slate. Not to mention, attending the Temple more often. And it feels fantastic.
I'm building quite a testimony of self-assessment. I can't truly improve if I'm not regularly, honestly evaluating where I am. I know through prayer and tenacity, my plans will end with success.
So wonderful to be here this morning.
With much love,
Julia
